Ash Oakley (b. 1995) is a self taught photographer born in Connecticut, now based in Ridgewood, NY, working primarily in medium format film.

Oakley’s work is rooted in a desire to capture the intimacies hidden within people and their surrounding environments; her photography functions as the mode of exploration between these subjects so as to uncover the narrative that lies at heart.

Her projects in development aim to transform her photography into three-dimensional objects through cyanotyping on various materials such as fabric, ceramic and wood. She has a deep desire to make the visual experience tactile.
